　サケの遡上シーズンに入り、水族館内にある水中観察窓では、7月26日に今季サケ1号が確認されました。そのサケは婚姻色が薄っすら入ったオスで、なんと初観察日は、歴代で2番目に早い記録になりました！
1号が確認されてから徐々に目撃数が増え、8月14日には前日の雨影響により、サケの群れが動き、窓の前はサケだらけとなりました！
今の時期、水中観察窓では遡上してくるサケ以外にも、ふ化してから2週間しか経っていないウグイの稚魚を見ることが出来ます。
　毎年9月に開催されている、千歳川の秋の風物詩「インディアン水車まつり」では、今年も名物のいくら弁当・サケ鍋などの食、ヤマメの釣り堀、様々なステージプログラムや、豪華賞品が当たる丸太切りレースが楽しめます！
そのほかにも年間イベントが沢山あります！是非、千歳水族館にご来館していただき、サケや千歳川の仲間たちをご覧ください。

The time for “salmon run” has come. In Chitose aquarium, the first salmon of this season was seen at the underwater observation zone. It was the male one colored nuptial coloration. Surprisingly, it recorded the second earliest times in the past.
The number of salmons has increasing little by little since it was found. In 14th August, a school of salmon moved, and in front of the window in the underwater observation zone there were many salmons all over the place because of the rain on the day before that.
At this season it can be seen not only “salmon run”, but also Japanese dace flies which has been only two weeks since they hatched.
On September every year we have the famous autumn festival called “Indian water wheel festival”. We can enjoy the meals such as salmon roe lunch and salmon pot, the events such as Japanese dace pond, cutting log race and so on, and many stage programs.
In addition there are held many annual events. Let’s come and see salmons and fishes in Chitose River.
